Mountain Missive Nr. 15
The Interruption
The Interruption
Lubadue thought of the alacite lamp burning next to their soon to-be-shared bed, the first new linen, the curtains of her mother given in love, a new life. Above her burning fireworks for the to-be-celebrated kingdom, the first new king, the sacrifice of her people given in love, a new life. She turned over her shoulder to see the procession of people, her people, following her to the chapel. Then up there between the roofs some movement, between the firework explosions, balancing over a rope between chimneys, masked intruders. Lubadue thought of all the next steps, at once, something felt off. The faint sizzling of white noise…like a fuse burning.
Consequences on a blog on game design about Mountain Resonance.
A lot has happened, most positivley. The free PDF is condensed to the Mountaineer’s Handbook of 44 pages to make it zine-able. It will be printed. The Allmother, Tuesday Knight Games, asked too kidnly to be ignored. Currently I’m reaching out to shops to see who else might want to stock it to calculate the numbers. In parallel, layers as so often, The Multiverse Melody is being ranked for the Appx. N Jam 2026. Get the adventure to see what it’s all about. It’s free.
King Ambrose’s self-coronation is celebrated throughout his new colonist kingdom. However, one town has become stuck in truly unending festivities with constant fireworks. The few scouts that returned have gone mad and deaf by self-inflicted wounds. Military intelligence is certain that this is an indigenous auditory curse emanating from the town’s war memorial hall. A tactical group is sent to stop the curse at any cost. For their own safety they will be restricted to non-verbal communication.
But for now the blog is going on to break from the regular weekly schedule to allow me more writing time for the The Cost Of Summer book. Truly, it has been pre-broken last week, a fracture, when the number between 14 and 15 got erased by colonist decree.
Which number do you miss most?
